No, your awning or screen door is perfectly fine outside during the winter. The hood cover that comes with the awning or screen door will protect it from the winter weather.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY SUNROOM, SOLARIUM, CONSERVATORY, AWNING OR SCREEN ROOM?
Rain and Snow will generally clean the exterior, if needed simply spray the unit down with a hose. For acrylic sunrooms clean the interior with dish soap and water, however we do have cleaners that are specifically designed to clean our products. Our Four Seasons glass products can be cleaned with any regular glass cleaner. The exterior glass come standard with a stay clean coating & mother natural does a great job keeping your sunroom glass clean outside.
WILL MY SUNROOM LEAK?
Sunrooms can leak if they are not installed properly. However, we go out of our way to make sure that there will be no leaks in your sunroom. In the event, that there is a leak we do have a warranty that will cover any leaks that could possibly arise.
DO SUNROOMS, SOLARIUMS, OR CONSERVATORIES GET HOT?
If you build a sunroom using the wrong glass your sunroom will get overwhelmingly hot. Our Four Seasons® heat reflective Conserva glass in the roof reflects the sun’s heat in the summer. In the winter when the sun is low on the horizon & shines through the wall glass, your sunroom will collect solar gain and keep your sunroom warmer. With a Four Seasons® sunroom you will stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Our three season products use heat reflective acrylic in the roof to prevent the sunrooms from overheating.
CAN I USE MY EXISTING DECK TO BUILD MY SUNROOM & HOW DOES IT ATTACH TO MY HOUSE?
Existing decks can be used if they have a solid foundation that extends 4 feet below the earth’s surface, this will prevent your deck or patio from lifting and possibly damaging your sunroom. A solid foundation can be achieved through use of our Techno Metal Post helical pile system
which is easy to install with minimal disturbance to your property. The sunroom attaches to your house very simply and does not require expensive modifications.
